A Message from the Founder

This is a personal message from Khun Panom Meesok the Founder of the Organisation for Preservation of Thai Culture & Buddhism

The situation of violence, the argument in politic, the over-modern life young people, etc. are apparently proved that people in Thailand have been walking out from our happy culture based on the Buddhism which can not be founded in the west. Certainly, you must be happy with your way in Europe or in America.

The monks in the temple were left by the education system, working system as the western calendar that pushed people and new generation away from Buddhism.

I have seen several international organizations as UN or ISLAM etc trying hard to bring peace into this world, but the horrible fightings are still going on and on and seems to be increasing everyday.

Buddhism has offered the ideal way of a happy life for all human beings, animals and nature in this world. We can see how Thai people are so friendly, hospitable etc generally impressed by many visitors.

This is the way of peace. How we can extend it.

The sharing of food for monks in the morning(also any share one can do), the Buddhist practice regularly, the charity works for public, the knowledge and intellectual shared for people outside the campas, and the campaign for the endless peace through the way of Buddhism for this difficult world are all my dreams.

Every Sunday, I would like to invited you and all visitors to join sharing beginning with the donation of food for monks between 06.00-07.30 am.at the moat.

For the special grand opening on 1st of April, I would like to see your Expat Members to wear northern Thai costume (if possible not serious) that I try to campaign Thai people to preserve this valued image. Please do not buy food sold in plactic back at the market . I will bring food contained in a silver bowl from home.

You can stand along the Moonmuang Road wherever suit you best. The reporters T.V. Newspapers etc will be there that day.

We will not do it only the 1st of April, but every Sunday. Please come to join us.

The picture of foriengers in the traditional dresses will influence some lazy Thais who are still sleeping to be aware of their culture preservation.

This is the only the beginning activity for the world peace.

Thank you very much for you kind attention.

See you on Sunday 1/4/07!

Buddhism is an integral part of the culture of Thailand
